Healing through Faith: A Conference for Faith Leaders in the Liberian Diaspora

The Advocates for Human Rights, Luther Seminary, and leaders from the Liberian community in Minnesota are pleased to invite you to a training conference for faith leaders in the Liberian Diaspora.

The training is focused on the following goals:
  • Engage Liberian faith leaders as a supportive structure for the Liberian Diaspora community as TRC public hearings commence in the United States
  • Offer training to Liberian faith leaders in pastoral care for Diaspora communities
  • Respond to requests from Liberian faith leaders for training in international human rights law and advocacy

Faith leaders who work with Liberians in the Diaspora in the United States and elsewhere are encouraged to attend! Plenary sessions will be webcast for viewing online.


Workshop Session Information

Participants can attend the following workshop sessions:

  • Pastoral Care & Counseling
  • Psychosocial Support for Survivors of War Trauma
  • International Human Rights & Humanitarian Law
  • Reconciliation & Forgiveness from the Islamic Perspective
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution & Restorative Dialogue
