Liberia TRC Project in Newark
Mirroring the TRC’s work in Liberia, The Advocates for Human Rights has a formal Memorandum of Understanding with the TRC to conduct statement taking from Liberians living throughout the United States. Working in collaboration with The Advocates, Seton Hall Law School will assist those Liberians in the Newark area who voluntarily come forward to tell their stories to the TRC. Individuals who give statements will have access to counselors, immigration lawyers, and social service referrals. Information from interviews will be included in the TRC’s historical record.

Volunteers at Seton Hall Law School, coordinated by Bassina Farbenblum, have begun taking statements, if you would like to give your statment in the Newark area, please call the number to the right.
